Genomics is the study of small differences in our DNA; our genome is responsible for many of our physical traits and behaviors like eye and hair color. It’s what distinguishes each of us from one another. But our genome is also responsible for affecting different health states including factors that contribute to your cognition, your ability to manage stress, your heart and bone health and other health concerns. It also affects how we interact with our environment including our responses to air pollution, how we metabolize and utilize nutrients in our diet, what triggers inflammation in the brain and body and even how we react to alcohol and tobacco.
